Welcome to The Art of Furniture, where I am passionate about rescuing and repurposing furniture into sustainable, environmentally safe, and visually stunning products. My journey began with my mom, who grew up in the Great Depression.  Through her I learned that almost everything has value.  Broken doesn't mean trash it, it means find a way to fix it with what you have available, and be creative about it. I've maintained that wonderful value instilled in me so long ago.  Built from a time of necessity, this tried and true method blends beautifully in this sustainable era.

I've used my resourcefulness across many facets of my life.

In my teens, crocheting captivated me, and in my mid-20s, I discovered the joy of freehand painting. These skills have aided me throughout the years as I repurposed items for my own needs and wants, and now I am bringing my love for furniture and decoration to The Art of Furniture.

In a world where many things are disposable, I see the potential in each forgotten treasure. Whether it's an old chair or a weathered cabinet, I see the beauty that others might overlook. Each piece has a unique story, and I'm here to give it a new chapter.

Sustainability is at the core of everything I do. I believe in creating products that are beautiful, safe for the environment, and free from harsh chemicals and toxins. It's a way of honoring the past while shaping a more sustainable future.

Creating patina work brings me delight beyond just repairing and refurbishing antiques. It's an artistic endeavor that lets me infuse each piece with character and breathe new life into it.

Join me on this journey of restoration, creativity, and sustainable living. Together, we can make a difference by preserving history, appreciating the beauty of imperfections, and embracing eco-conscious choices. Let's create a world where beauty and sustainability go hand in hand, one cherished piece at a time.
